Gerald Risk: Gerald serves as Vice Chairman of Asurion, the world’s largest provider of technology protection services. Prior to serving as Vice Chairman, Gerald served as Asurion’s President from 2009 to 2013 and as Asurion’s Chief Financial Officer for the 10 years prior to that. During his 16 years at Asurion, the company has grown revenues from $20 million annually to over $6 billion annually.

Jim Crane: Jim founded Eagle USA Airfreight (EGL, Inc.) in 1984, and ultimately built it into an organization of more than 10,000 employees with 400-plus facilities in 139 countries. EGL reached #599 on the Fortune 1000 list during Jim's tenure. In 2008, Jim formed Crane Worldwide Logistics (CWL), a global provider of customized transportation and logistics services. Jim is also the owner of Champion Energy Services. Jim led an investor group in 2011 to purchase the Houston Astros, of which he serves as the Chairman.

Will Thorndike: Will founded Housatonic Partners in 1994 and has been Managing Director since that time. Prior to that, Will worked with T. Rowe Price Associates and Walker & Company where he was named to the Board of Directors. He has been Chairman of CONSOL Energy Inc., since 2016. Will is a Director of Carillon Assisted Living; Lincoln Peak Holdings; OASIS Group; QMC International, White Flower Farm, and a Trustee of The Stanford Business School Trust. He is also the author of The Outsiders, which was recommended by Warren Buffett in Berkshire Hathaway’s annual report.

Janet Gurwitch: Janet founded and is the former CEO of Laura Mercier Cosmetics and Skincare, a global brand of high-end niche cosmetics. Currently, Janet serves as an operating partner at Castanea Partners, with over 15 years of experience in the branded personal care and consumer products sectors. Prior to founding Laura Mercier, Janet was Executive Vice President of Merchandising at Neiman Marcus. Janet is a Director on the boards of Castanea portfolio companies Drybar and First Aid Beauty. She is also on the Board of Advisors for Dollar Shave Club and serves on the Board of Governors for Cosmetics Executive Women (CEW).

Bill Egan: Bill is the founder and General Partner at Alta Communications, a venture capital firm, and Marion Equity Partners, a private equity firm. Bill also founded Alta’s predecessor firm, Burr, Egan, Deleage & Co., in 1979, and has identified and backed several of America’s leading growth companies in information technology, life sciences, and communications industries. He serves on several Boards of Directors of communications, cable, and information technology companies. He is also an owner of the Boston Celtics through his partnership with Boston Basketball Partners LLC.
